Samoa Joe(原名Nuufolau Joel "Joe" Seanoa 3月17日, 1979年 美國加洲)和 John Cena 一同於 UPW 受訓， Samoa Joe 以固技作為自己的招牌，因而取得外號 Submission Machine。
05 年十月日本 Noah 神級選手小橋建太越洋挑戰， ROH 派出迎戰的正是 Samoa Joe ，可見其 indy 界中地位。
Samoa Joe 亦是因為和 Generation Next 作對而上位的摔角手之一，他在 ROH 的主要賽事是和 CM Punk 爭 ROH Championship。
Samoa Joe 本身是一個格鬥迷，因此他的摔角風格亦加入了許多 MMA 元素，所以他的表演常給摔迷一種真實感覺，他憑這種風格令自己成為職摔界一個很別異的摔角手，這亦是他受歡迎的原因。
WWE 曾經打過 Samoa Joe 主意，但最後由於身形並不合乎 WWE 要求，所以最後並無簽為合約選手。 Samoa Joe 目前活潑於 TNA， 十分受到 TNA 重視，是 TNA 的力捧對象。
